Spring will soon arrive

Merci’s puppies are getting bigger, soon they will be out & exploring a much larger world. It is still hard to believe she had seven puppies, all little cuties, 4 boys, 3 girls. The smallest one born, a little Sable boy has gained nicely, he is now an equal weight with his bigger Sable brother.

The 1st puppy born, Anthony, is a small White/Cream Boy, weighing 109 grams, at 4 weeks he weighs 479 grams or 16.9 ounces. The 2nd puppy born, Dominic, is a Black & Tan Boy, weighing 143 grams at birth, at 4 weeks weighed 528 grams or 18.6 ounces. The 3rd puppy born, Penelope, is a Sable Girl weighing 128 grams & at 4 weeks weighing 573 grams or 20.2 ounces. The 4th puppy born, Madelyn, is our White/Cream Girl weighing 108 grams, at 4 weeks weighing 454 grams or 16 ounces. The 5th puppy born, Brooklyn, is our little Tri-Colored Girl weighing 104 at birth & at 4 weeks weighing 365 grams or 13 ounces. The 6th puppy was our smallest puppy, Sabastian, a Sable Boy weighing 93 grams, at 4 weeks he weighed 516 grams or 18.2 ounces. And our last puppy #7, Logan, a Sable Boy, weighed 135 at birth & at 4 weeks weighs 512 grams or 18 ounces.

All of the puppies are doing wonderful, we have been giving them soft puppy food for over a week now. Merci does her best but needs a little assistance with the feeding of so many babies & the puppies love the soft food. We are thinking about keeping two of the girls in our family. We will not be sure until after we receive the puppies Genetic Health testing back, which will be when they are around 8 weeks old.

We will be placing the 4 boys & 1 girl up for adoption in April after Easter, when they turn 8 weeks old. The puppies will stay with us until after their 2nd shot & we feel they are mature enough to leave their Mother. Some may be ready to go to their new families at 10 weeks; around April 23rd but we expect most to stay until their 12th week on May 7th.
